Overview

VibeCheck is a habit and goal tracking app designed with privacy at its core. Your data stays on your device — we do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.

Data Collection and Storage

Data You Create

All data you create within VibeCheck — including items, completion records, photos, categories, and scenario groups — is stored locally on your device using Core Data. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to back it up via iCloud (see below).

HealthKit Data

VibeCheck integrates with Apple HealthKit to read the following health data types (only when you grant permission):

Steps
Exercise Minutes
Mindful Minutes
Stand Hours
Active Energy
Time in Daylight
Sleep Duration
Weekly Sleep
Blood Pressure
Weekly Cardio Fitness Points

Important:

HealthKit data is read-only — VibeCheck does not write any data to HealthKit.
Health data is synced one-way from HealthKit to the app for local display and tracking purposes only.
Health data is never uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third party.
Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining purposes.

iCloud Backup (Optional)

VibeCheck offers an optional iCloud backup feature. When enabled:

Backup data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple’s infrastructure.
You control when backups are created and restored.
We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Third-Party Services

VibeCheck does not use any third-party services, including:

No analytics or tracking SDKs
No advertising frameworks
No crash reporting services that transmit data externally
No social media SDKs

Account Registration

VibeCheck does not require any account registration, login, or sign-up. The app is fully functional without providing any personal information.

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your data with any third parties. Your data remains entirely under your control.

Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time:

Individual items: Swipe to delete or use the delete option within the app.
All data: Use the “Reset All Data” option in Settings to permanently remove all app data from your device.
App removal: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

Children’s Privacy

VibeCheck does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
